Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Daniel McDermid took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the game, Craig Bowmaker recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Graham Wheelan. Craig Bowmaker showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 9th minute, Skelmorlie's Daniel McDermid ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Graham Wheelan. Graham Wheelan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Daniel McDermid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd match minute, Munton United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Declan Tosh to maneuver through the defense. If Calum Banks had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronan McVicar's late challenge caught a Munton United FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronan McVicar helped the player get up and apologised. Ronan McVicar hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Calum Banks received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Keith McKelvie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Keith McKelvie didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Declan Tosh went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 35th minute, Craig Bowmaker made a precise shot to the right of Graham Wheelan. Munton United FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. After a rather tough play, Skelmorlie's Fraser Connelly got a free kick in the 38th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel McDermid kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Graham Wheelan. That made the score 5-1 in the 40 minute of play. Daniel McDermid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Munton United FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Craig Bowmaker fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Calum Banks stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel McDermid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Skelmorlie's Daniel McDermid got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Graham Wheelan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Craig Bowmaker in the 62nd minute of play. Patrick Aldridge's late challenge caught a Skelmorlie's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jack McCrae hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Skelmorlie's Alexander Lamondson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Graham Wheelan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel McDermid, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute, Calum Banks got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 75th minute, Craig Bowmaker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Declan Tosh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keith McKelvie having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel McDermid in the 81st minute of play forced Munton United FC's goalkeeper Graham Wheelan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Munton United FC's Graham Wheelan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Craig Bowmaker in the 85th minute of play. In the 88th match minute, Munton United FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steven Forester to maneuver through the defense. Graham Wheelan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Craig Bowmaker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Skelmorlie's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
