Sean Blake received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Tam Daniels tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tam Daniels showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sean Blake in the 16th minute of the match. Sean Blake sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard McQuire in the 19th minute of play forced Inverurie Locos's goalkeeper Tam Daniels to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeremy Taggart helped the player get up and apologised. After 29 played minutes Nairn AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jeremy Taggart. Tam Daniels made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard McQuire in the 31st minute of play. Tam Daniels took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard McQuire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sean Blake scored 0-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tam Daniels, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Willie Hardie made a kick off. If Thomas Sporran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tam Daniels made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard McQuire in the 60th minute of play. Willie Hardie struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Kenneth Dowe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inverurie Locos. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Nairn AFC's goalkeeper Kenneth Dowe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kenneth Dowe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Willie Hardie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Nairn AFC booed when Inverurie Locos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Booth didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the game, Sam McLucas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Inverurie Locos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nairn AFC the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 80th minute of the game. One of Inverurie Locos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nairn AFC:s goal. Tam Daniels showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard McQuire, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. After a rather tough play, Inverurie Locos's Roddie Kerracher got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Nairn AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
