In the 20thth minute of the game Donald McCash who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Riverside United F.C's Gareth McKeith was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rory Lonie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Frank Fraser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Shane Guthrie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Fraser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phil Begg, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Riverside United F.C's Gareth McKeith proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Riverside United F.C from getting a goal against them. The Riverside United F.C fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when Riverside United F.C's Rory Lonie looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Phil Begg came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Riverside United F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Phil Begg couldn't finish the play. If Donald McCash had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Phil Begg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Fraser having to interfere. Frank Fraser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rory Lonie, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute.
