Spectators: 8094 (Terracing: 6072, Seating: 1861, VIP seats: 161) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Brandon McVeagh got the match started through his kick off. Ciaran Dixon's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 3rdth minute, Ross McSymon skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bob Webster had several of the Crazy Monks F.C.'s defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 5 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Ross McSymon as he didn't even see the shot coming. Ross McSymon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bob Webster in the 8th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Bob Webster dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ross McSymon, 2-0. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Ciaran Dixon sped through Crazy Monks F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ross McSymon. Ross McSymon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bob Webster's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Ciaran Dixon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ross McSymon having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Crazy Monks F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ciaran Dixon came free, but Ross McSymon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Crazy Monks F.C.'s zone, Sam McAslan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ross McSymon came out of the goal and Sam McAslan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bob Webster fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ross McSymon having to interfere. Nick Caddell hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After 34 played minutes Castlebay got a freekick which was hit by Billy McLaverty. After a defensive mix-up in Crazy Monks F.C.'s zone, Bob Webster stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ross McSymon came out of the goal and Bob Webster tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bob Webster to make the kick off. In the 57th minute Bob Webster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ross McSymon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Crazy Monks F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ciaran Dixon came free, but Ross McSymon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute, Brandon McVeagh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Brandon McVeagh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Ciaran Dixon notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Crazy Monks F.C.'s Ross McSymon. Ross McSymon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Crazy Monks F.C. getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Nick Caddell hit a great ball. After having played for 75 minutes, Bob Webster managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castlebay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bob Webster was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The attack was good, but when Brandon McVeagh in the 77th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Bob Webster received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Ross McSymon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brandon McVeagh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iain McGuffie having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciaran Dixon in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ross McSymon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. There was no doubt that Castlebay were the better team. Castlebay's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
