Black Pearl Arena

Seating: 1857, VIP seats: 160) Callum Barton started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Sunk Black Pearl's zone, Bob Webster stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Neil Johnstone came out of the goal and Bob Webster tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11thth minute of the game Bob Webster who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sunk Black Pearl's Neil Johnstone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bob Webster recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Sunk Black Pearl's goal looked a bit too open when Archie Polson came free, but Neil Johnstone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ciaran Dixon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Neil Johnstone was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Bob Webster sped through Sunk Black Pearl's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Neil Johnstone. 25 minutes into the match, Ciaran Dixon notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Sunk Black Pearl's Neil Johnstone. Neil Johnstone was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Callum Barton came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Sunk Black Pearl fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Callum Barton couldn't finish the play. When Christopher McKellar fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sunk Black Pearl's protests and gave Christopher McKellar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd minute, Christopher McKellar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Bob Webster sped through Sunk Black Pearl's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Neil Johnstone. 39 minutes into the match, Bob Webster notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Sunk Black Pearl's Neil Johnstone. Neil Johnstone was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ciaran Dixon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neil Johnstone having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bob Webster made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Ciaran Dixon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 57th minute, Ciaran Dixon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59thth minute of the game Callum Barton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Castlebay's Iain McGuffie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sunk Black Pearl's Christopher McKellar got his second yellow card of the match in the 71st minute. The referee ordered Christopher McKellar off the ground. Castlebay's Josh Burk couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Sunk Black Pearl. After 79 minutes, John Ogilvie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Castlebay and the Sunk Black Pearl players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st minute there was a penalty for Sunk Black Pearl. David Barnes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Iain McGuffie. 1-4. Ciaran Dixon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Neil Johnstone made a huge save. Gordon Grant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sunk Black Pearl's Neil Johnstone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Webster in the 93rd minute of play. With a little luck, Sunk Black Pearl's Neil Johnstone got control of the ball when Ciaran Dixon tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 98 minutes, Harold Gill managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castlebay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harold Gill was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
