Spectators: 8147 (Terracing: 6111, Seating: 1874, VIP seats: 162) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bob Webster kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciaran Dixon got free with Greig McFeat in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Richard Cochrane recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 17th match minute, Castlebay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Ogilvie to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 20 minutes, Barry Enrick managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Drobeta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barry Enrick was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, FC Drobeta's Barry Enrick got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Iain McGuffie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barry Enrick in the 24th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bob Webster in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Greig McFeat prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Drobeta's goalkeeper Greig McFeat, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mike Kay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iain McGuffie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barry Enrick in the 36th minute of the match. If Kyle Kean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 41 minutes of play, FC Drobeta's Mike Kay made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iain McGuffie was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half FC Drobeta were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Barry Enrick made the kick off in the second half. Ciaran Dixon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 54 minutes into the match, Castlebay's Ciaran Dixon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Greig McFeat narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Barry Enricks short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Iain McGuffie to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciaran Dixon in the 59th minute of play forced FC Drobeta's goalkeeper Greig McFeat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mike Kay got free with Iain McGuffie in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kyle Kean's late challenge caught a Castlebay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kyle Kean helped the player get up and apologised. Kyle Kean blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Iain McGuffie having to make a save. Iain McGuffie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barry Enrick in the 71st minute. Barry Enrick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Iain McGuffie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd minute Ciaran Dixon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Greig McFeat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barry Enrick in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Iain McGuffie, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Ciaran Dixon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ciaran Dixon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Greig McFeat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Castlebay's Iain McGuffie got control of the ball when Mike Kay tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Kyle Kean managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Drobeta's supporters rose to their feet, but Kyle Kean was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iain McGuffie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle sounded FC Drobeta left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Castlebay.
