Spectators: 6841 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Matt Coulter got the match started through his kick off. After some careless play in the DVA defense, Graeme Blackburn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jim McMillan. The DVA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jim McMillan should have stopped the shot. Adam Paterson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 14 minutes into the match, DVA's goal looked a bit too open when Kieran Lewis came free, but Jim McMillan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adam Paterson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Colintraive defense, Matt Coulter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Willie McVeagh. The Colintraive fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Willie McVeagh should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcus McGillivour during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to DVA getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Marcus McGillivour hit a great ball. After 26 played minutes DVA got a freekick which was hit by Aiden Petrie. After 28 played minutes DVA got a freekick which was hit by Bob Hawthorn. In the 35th minute Kieran Lewis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jim McMillan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kieran Lewis in the 39th minute of play forced DVA's goalkeeper Jim McMillan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jim McMillan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kieran Lewis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jim McMillan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kieran Lewis in the 45th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kieran Lewis made a kick off. Matt Coulter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Willie McVeagh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
