Spectators: 7481 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1846, VIP seats: 10) DVA's Matt Coulter started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Gordon United's goal looked a bit too open when Matt Coulter came free, but Duncan Findlater reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 7 minutes of play, DVA's Adam Paterson made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Duncan Findlater was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Matt Coulter came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the DVA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matt Coulter couldn't finish the play. Michael McNaughton charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Michael McNaughton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jim McMillan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Terence Ferguson in the 27th minute of the match. Finlay Boyle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 32 minutes into the match, DVA's goal looked a bit too open when Terence Ferguson came free, but Jim McMillan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Finlay Milroy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matt Coulter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Duncan Findlater tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jim McMillan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Terence Ferguson in the 38th minute of play. Finlay Boyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jim McMillan having to interfere. Matt Coulter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Matt Coulter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matt Coulter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Duncan Findlater tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Duncan Findlater made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matt Coulter in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Terence Ferguson made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Gordon United's Terence Ferguson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jim McMillan. That made the score 1-2 after 51 minutes of play. After 58 played minutes Terence Ferguson rounded DVA's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. If Terence Ferguson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Finlay Boyle's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Jim McMillan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 73rd minute of the match, Terence Ferguson tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jim McMillan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some careless play in the DVA defense, Finlay Boyle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jim McMillan. The DVA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jim McMillan should have stopped the shot. Duncan Findlater took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matt Coulter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jim McMillan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Terence Ferguson in the 83rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Terence Ferguson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gordon United's supporters rose to their feet, but Terence Ferguson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jim McMillan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 89 minutes into the match, Gordon United's goal looked a bit too open when Matt Coulter came free, but Duncan Findlater reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Adam Paterson managed to get in a good position for a shot. DVA's supporters rose to their feet, but Adam Paterson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Duncan Findlater breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The DVA supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Gordon United's performance. The match ended with a win for Gordon United.
