Spectators: 6856 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1856, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Neil McRankin kicked off to start the match. The audience was convinced that Nicky Colyear's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Willie McVeagh was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. 8 minutes into the match, Colintraive's goal looked a bit too open when Neil McRankin came free, but Willie McVeagh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Willie McVeagh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicky Colyear in the 9th minute of the match. Willie McVeagh came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Aboyne's Neil McRankin. But to his dismay, Neil McRankin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 26th match minute, Colintraive was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kieran Lewis to maneuver through the defense. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Colintraive! The referee gave Aboyne a penalty, 29 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Walter Lauchlan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Colintraive's Willie McVeagh. 0-3. 35 minutes into the match, Colintraive's goal looked a bit too open when Neil McRankin came free, but Willie McVeagh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 36 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Colintraive! In the 37th minute there was a penalty for Aboyne. Walter Lauchlan stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Willie McVeagh. 0-4. Neil McRankin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willie McVeagh having to interfere. If Neil McRankin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kieran Lewis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Neil McRankin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Willie McVeagh having to make a save. The supporters of Aboyne booed when Colintraive was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duncan McPhedron didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicky Colyear in the 58thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Willie McVeagh, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Neil McRankin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Willie McVeagh read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Duncan McPhedron hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Aboyne's Neil McRankin was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 63rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After a rather tough play, Aboyne's Robbie Cottrill got a free kick in the 65th minute. Kieran Lewis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hamish McDonleavy hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Aboyne's Walter Lauchlan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 75th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Colintraive. After a defensive mix-up in Colintraive's zone, Neil McRankin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Willie McVeagh came out of the goal and Neil McRankin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 81 minutes, Nicky Colyear managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aboyne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicky Colyear was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Neil McRankin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willie McVeagh having to interfere. Norman McCansh kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Colintraive's Willie McVeagh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neil McRankin in the 88th minute of play. Kieran Lewis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Roddie McKillop tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roddie McKillop showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kieran Lewis in the 93rd minute of the match. Willie McVeagh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Neil McRankin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicky Colyear sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
