Bob Lockerbie who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Conor McRobbie when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vinny Hardie in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Malcolm McKechnie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 46 played minutes Tranent City got a freekick which was hit by Rob McIlwhom. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Guy McHardy made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Bob Lockerbie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conor McRobbie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bob Lockerbie scored 2-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Conor McRobbie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 58th minute, Timothy McLardie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rob McIlwhom hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Brora's goalkeeper Conor McRobbie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Guy McHardy took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Malcolm McKechnie to make any attempt to save it. 81 minutes into the match, Bob Lockerbie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Conor McRobbie. Brora's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bob Lockerbie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Conor McRobbie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Theo McLagan's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. 95 minutes into the game, Tranent City's Bob Lockerbie nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Conor McRobbie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1.
