The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Keith United's Iain Broom got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guy McHardy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Douglas Broom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Douglas Broom made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vinny Hardie in the 9th minute. Iain Broom took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Conor McRobbie. Conor McRobbie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Guy McHardy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 20 played minutes Keith United got a freekick which was hit by Nicholas McLerie. Iain Broom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Conor McRobbie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicholas McLerie's late challenge caught a Brora's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicholas McLerie helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Keith United getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Nicholas McLerie hit a great ball. When Jacob Rorison fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brora's protests and gave Jacob Rorison a yellow card for diving instead. After 30 played minutes Brora got a freekick which was hit by Jacob Rorison. Ricky McGillivour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Conor McRobbie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iain Broom in the 36th minute of play forced Brora's goalkeeper Conor McRobbie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute of the match Rod Davison sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Conor McRobbie skillfully saved the ball. Ricky McGillivour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Conor McRobbie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Brora booed when Keith United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicholas McLerie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Guy McHardy made the kick off in the second half. Guy McHardy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Broom having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Ricky McGillivour made a precise shot to the right of Conor McRobbie. Brora's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 71 minutes into the match, Brora's goal looked a bit too open when Iain Broom came free, but Conor McRobbie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iain Broom's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conor McRobbie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Ricky McGillivour came free with the goalkeeper in the 80th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Conor McRobbie could save by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Ricky McGillivour managed to get in a good position for a shot. Keith United's supporters rose to their feet, but Ricky McGillivour was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Conor McRobbie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Iain Broom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Conor McRobbie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Brora's Conor McRobbie got control of the ball when Declan Ayres tried to sneak it across the goal line. Keith United's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
