Ray McPhedron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bob Lockerbie, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 54th match minute, Dunbeath FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Innes McKenrick to maneuver through the defense. Bob Lockerbie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Theo McLagan put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ray McPhedron. In the 69th play minute Bob Lockerbie came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ray McPhedron. 0-2. Bob Lockerbie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Theo McLagan sped through Dunbeath FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ray McPhedron. Bob Lockerbie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Ray McPhedron made a huge save.
