Charlie McAslan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mark Hawson having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Lairg's Stuart McKellaigh got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 9th minute, Charlie McAslan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adrian McAuslan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeremy Isles in the 11th minute. After 18 minutes, Brandon Bates mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hibernian FC and the Lairg players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 18th match minute, Hibernian FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brandon Bates to maneuver through the defense. Connor McLennan hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Hibernian FC's Connor McLennan got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mark Hawson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 36th minute, Connor McLennan made a precise shot to the right of Mark Hawson. Lairg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Charlie McAslan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Grant McLeverty to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute, Lairg's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Connor McLennan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Hibernian FC booed when Lairg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Cassels didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mark Hawson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hibernian FC.
