Lairg
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Grant McLeverty started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 5 minutes into the match, Lairg's goal looked a bit too open when Keith Fraser came free, but Mark Hawson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lairg's Mark Hawson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Taylor McKerracher in the 7th minute of play. Mark Hawson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Raith, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeremy Isles could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Taylor Randolf made a huge save. Mark Hawson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Keith Fraser, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Lairg's goal looked a bit too open when Taylor McKerracher came free, but Mark Hawson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Keith Fraser fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Clydebank's protests and gave Keith Fraser a yellow card for diving instead. Mark Hawson came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Clydebank's Chris Raith. But to his dismay, Chris Raith quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Chris Raith received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Mark Hawson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Rupert McCeallaich fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lairg's protests and gave Rupert McCeallaich a yellow card for diving instead. Mark Hawson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Keith Fraser, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute, Chris Raith ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mark Hawson was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Mark Hawson came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Clydebank's Taylor McKerracher. But to his dismay, Taylor McKerracher quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. The Lairg players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Clydebank were winning 0-3.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chris Raith made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Lairg's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Raith came free, but Mark Hawson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 55th minute Chris Raith shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Hawson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roy McCansh charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roy McCansh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lairg's Rupert McCeallaich got his second yellow card of the match in the 57th minute. The referee ordered Rupert McCeallaich off the ground. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Raith in the 62nd minute of play forced Lairg's goalkeeper Mark Hawson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Keith Fraser could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Mark Hawson made a huge save. With a little luck, Lairg's Mark Hawson got control of the ball when Ken McVurich tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 67th minute, Clydebank's Chris Raith dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Taylor McKerrachers short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Mark Hawson to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mark Hawson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Keith Fraser in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute, Taylor McKerracher left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clydebank fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Keith Fraser got his second yellow card in the match during the 80th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Clydebank's Keith Fraser got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 90th minute, Chris Raith fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After some careless play in the Lairg defense, Taylor McKerracher kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mark Hawson. The Lairg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mark Hawson should have stopped the shot. Mark Hawson made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Taylor McKerracher sent off a good shot on target. Clydebank's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
