In the 7th match minute, BARABA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver McOmish to maneuver through the defense. When BARABA's Jeremy Ferries, in the 10th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for BARABA. If Oliver McOmish had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 16 minutes into the match, Mauchline City's goalkeeper Dean McCreath had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oliver McOmish. Dylan Craig's late challenge caught a BARABA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dylan Craig helped the player get up and apologised. Dylan Craig kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Oliver McOmish sped through Mauchline City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dean McCreath. Jeremy Ferries's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dean McCreath firmly grabbed it by the left post. Dylan Craig hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, Mauchline City's goalkeeper Dean McCreath had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeremy Ferries. Mauchline City's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Jeremy Ferries scored to the left of an out of position Dean McCreath, making the score, 3-0. In the 47th minute of the match, Jeremy Ferries got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dean McCreath was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 48th minute Oliver McOmish shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean McCreath saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When Chris Coultard was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 60 minutes had been played. A collision led to Mauchline City getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Chris Coultard hit a great ball. After 64 played minutes Mauchline City got a freekick which was hit by Elliot Colman. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremy Ferries in the 72nd minute of play forced Mauchline City's goalkeeper Dean McCreath to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dean McCreath showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliver McOmish, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After 77th play minutes Oliver McOmish shot 6-0, a short shot which went by Dean McCreath and just under the crossbar into goal. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Oliver McOmish sped through Mauchline City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dean McCreath. After 91 minutes, Oliver McOmish made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. Mauchline City's Dean McCreath tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oliver McOmish in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dean McCreath saved Mauchline City from getting behind. BARABA's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
