Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Grant McLeverty took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the match, Lairg's goal looked a bit too open when Brandon Bontein came free, but Mark Hawson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Scott McNeiledge in the 6th minute of play forced Lairg's goalkeeper Mark Hawson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremy Isles in the 8th minute of play forced Mallaig's goalkeeper David Stenhouse to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeremy Isles got free with David Stenhouse in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Grant McLeverty managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lairg's supporters rose to their feet, but Grant McLeverty was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Stenhouse breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 14th match minute, Lairg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Greig Robison to maneuver through the defense. Mallaig's David Stenhouse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Greig Robison in the 18th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Grant McLeverty dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of David Stenhouse, 1-0. Mallaig's Aidan Bunten got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mark Hawson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brandon Bontein in the 27th minute of the match. A collision led to Lairg getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Stephen Wilkinson hit a great ball. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Scott McNeiledge made a kick off. Greig Robison kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Lairg's Mark Hawson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Lairg from getting a goal against them. Mark Hawson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Munro McCombie in the 56th minute of the match. In the 60th minute Brandon Bontein shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Hawson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Mallaig getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Munro McCombie hit a great ball. Lairg's Mark Hawson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Lairg from getting a goal against them. In the 69th minute Grant McLeverty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Stenhouse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the game, Greig Robison cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. David Stenhouse was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. David Stenhouse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Greig Robison, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Mark Hawson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Scott McNeiledge went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Stephen Wilkinson lost his temper 83 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Munro McCombie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Lairg's goal looked a bit too open when Brandon Bontein came free, but Mark Hawson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, Mallaig's Brandon Bontein nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mark Hawson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Brandon Bontein's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mark Hawson firmly grabbed it by the left post. Brandon Bontein kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 98thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Lairg's keeper Mark Hawson was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The Lairg supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mallaig's performance. The match ended with a win for Mallaig.
