Spectators: 6955 (Terracing: 5000,
Seating: 1955, VIP seats: 0) Lee McCutchen made the kick off and thus started the match. The long shot by Tim McLennan in the 4th minute really tested Taylor Randolf's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. A collision led to Clydebank getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Jimmy McConacher hit a great ball. Clydebank's Taylor Randolf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lee McCutchen in the 6th minute of play. The supporters of Golspie United booed when Clydebank was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy McCansh didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Chris Raith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Golspie United's goalkeeper Marcus Alsop, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Keith Fraser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Chris Raith had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Clydebank's Chris Raith got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 24 minutes, Chris Raith made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Golspie United's Marcus Alsop tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Golspie United defense, Chris Raith kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcus Alsop. The Golspie United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus Alsop should have stopped the shot. In the 34th match minute, Clydebank was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roy McCansh to maneuver through the defense. When Taylor McKerracher came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Clydebank fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Taylor McKerracher couldn't finish the play. Chris Raith fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Alsop having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chris Raith stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Andrew Federith hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Taylor McKerracher blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcus Alsop having to make a save. Ben McLaverty kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Taylor McKerracher had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcus Alsop. Golspie United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Taylor McKerracher was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Clydebank's Roy McCansh managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Stephen McFeat in the 71 minute of the game. If Taylor McKerracher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute Duncan Carruthers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Taylor Randolf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Clydebank's Jimmy McConacher got a free kick in the 80th minute. A collision led to Clydebank getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Calum Addison hit a great ball. In the 86th minute of the match Jim Charles shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Taylor Randolf showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Taylor McKerracher's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcus Alsop read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. When Lee McCutchen came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Golspie United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lee McCutchen couldn't finish the play. Taylor McKerracher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Alsop having to interfere. When the match was over Clydebank could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Golspie United throughout the match.
