The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gabriel Grman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dean McCreath having to interfere. In the 13thth minute of the game Gabriel Grman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mauchline City's Dean McCreath was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mauchline City's Dean McCreath played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brandon Bates in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of Mauchline City booed when Hibernian FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruce Raith didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adrian McAuslan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elliot Colman in the 17th minute of the match. In the 20th minute Connor McLennan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dean McCreath saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elliot Colman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian McAuslan having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Connor McLennan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hibernian FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Dean McCreath showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Connor McLennan, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The Hibernian FC fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Hibernian FC's Gabriel Grman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dean McCreath came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Hibernian FC's Connor McLennan. But to his dismay, Connor McLennan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Dean McCreath showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Grman in the 45th minute of the match. After the first half Hibernian FC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elliot Colman made a kick off. Adrian McAuslan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elliot Colman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Fergus McAusland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dean McCreath came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Hibernian FC's Gabriel Grman. But to his dismay, Gabriel Grman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Kenneth Kerracher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Dean McCreath tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gabriel Grman came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Hibernian FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Grman couldn't finish the play. Fergus McAusland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Adrian McAuslan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72ndth minute of the game Gabriel Grman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mauchline City's Dean McCreath was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Gabriel Grman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dean McCreath, 0-6. After 80 minutes of play, Hibernian FC's Connor McLennan made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dean McCreath was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 84th minute Elliot Colman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian McAuslan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hibernian FC's Gabriel Grman got a free kick in the 86th minute. 95 minutes into the game, Hibernian FC's Gabriel Grman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dean McCreath made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8.
