Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Angus McMaurice got the match started through his kick off. Angus McMaurice struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Malcolm Ingram didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Renfrew AFC. 9 minutes into the game, Renfrew AFC's Malcolm McIock nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Malcolm Ingram made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After having played for 14 minutes, Douglas Burk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cromarty's supporters crossed their fingers, but Douglas Burk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute, Douglas Burk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 18th minute, one of Renfrew AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Renfrew AFC. In the 24th minute Douglas Burk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ben Bryde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ben Bryde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Burk in the 25th minute of play. Johnny Peterkin charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Johnny Peterkin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Johnny Peterkin hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Renfrew AFC's Ben Bryde got control of the ball when Connor McLardy tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 39th minute Malcolm McIock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malcolm Ingram saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Renfrew AFC's Rod Wharrie got a free kick in the 43rd minute.

The wind increased when Douglas Burk made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Cromarty's Douglas Burk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 56th minute Johnny Peterkin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malcolm Ingram saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Connor McLardy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cromarty's Connor McLardy got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Connor McLardy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Connor McLardy in the 73rd minute of play forced Renfrew AFC's goalkeeper Ben Bryde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Malcolm McIock during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Connor McLardy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben Bryde having to interfere. Johnny Peterkin kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Malcolm McIock recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Cromarty's Malcolm Ingram got control of the ball when Malcolm McIock tried to sneak it across the goal line. Malcolm Ingram made an important save on a dangerous shot by Malcolm McIock in the 84th minute. 85 minutes into the game, Douglas Burk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Ben Bryde was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 92nd minute, Johnny Peterkin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Malcolm McIock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malcolm Ingram having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Cromarty had won after a very even match.
