Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Michael Williamson kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute, Graeme Carr got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ken McCrimmor charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ken McCrimmor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 11 played minutes Stromness got a freekick which was hit by Ken McCrimmor. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Williamson in the 16th minute of play forced Stromness's goalkeeper Nicol Burnes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicol Burnes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Williamson in the 17th minute of the match. In the 25th minute of the match David McCrae shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicol Burnes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 26th minute of the match Derek Dis shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicol Burnes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fergus Lecky struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Oliver Kean didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stromness. Stromness's Ken McCrimmor got his second yellow card of the match in the 35th minute. The referee ordered Ken McCrimmor off the ground. In the 36th minute, Ken McCrimmor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oliver Kean made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Rupert Nelson sent off a good shot on target. Gus Hill charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gus Hill the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gus Hill hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Fergus Lecky sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cairndow City's Michael Williamson got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Fergus Lecky came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Stromness fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fergus Lecky couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

A sloppy throw-in by Mark Forster in the 54th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Stromness's Lee McKellaigh. Lee McKellaigh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Oliver Kean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Lee McKellaigh came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Stromness fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lee McKellaigh couldn't finish the play. Aiden McIan kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 59th minute Michael Williamson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicol Burnes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the game, Michael Williamson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nicol Burnes. Michael Williamson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. After having played for 69 minutes, Fergus Lecky managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stromness's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fergus Lecky was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience held their breath when Lee McKellaigh in the 72nd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Oliver Kean's left hand side. After having played for 77 minutes, Fergus Lecky managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stromness's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fergus Lecky was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stromness's Fergus Lecky got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ronnie Lammond received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Oliver Kean tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Fergus Lecky left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stromness fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Troy McConnechy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Nicol Burnes made a huge save. Lee McKellaigh might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oliver Kean. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
