Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Berriedale's Timothy McCanish started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fraser Malcolm charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of Berriedale booed when Cromarty was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry McPhorich didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stewart McCammond, 33 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Timothy McCanish had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Berriedale defense, Nick McIldowie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andrew Carruthers. The Berriedale fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andrew Carruthers should have stopped the shot. Berriedale's Andrew Carruthers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nick McIldowie in the 45th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Connor McLardy in the 47th minute of play forced Berriedale's goalkeeper Andrew Carruthers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Berriedale players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cromarty were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Douglas Burk to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Berriedale's Andrew Carruthers got control of the ball when Connor McLardy tried to sneak it across the goal line. Berriedale's Andrew Carruthers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Berriedale from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd minute Douglas Burk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrew Carruthers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Nick McIldowie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andrew Carruthers was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Connor McLardy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrew Carruthers made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Connor McLardy sent off a good shot on target. 88 minutes into the match, Connor McLardy dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Andrew Carruthers, 0-4. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cromarty walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
