Aaron McPhedran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Ronan McCune tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute Terence McCamie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon McChoiter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ellon's Ronan McCune played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duncan Scotland in the 33rd minute of play. Ronan McCune showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron McPhedran in the 34th minute of the match. After 36 minutes, Patrick McLea mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ellon and the Pure dead brilliant team players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th match minute, Ellon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick McLea to maneuver through the defense. After 37 minutes of play, Pure dead brilliant team's Aaron McPhedran made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronan McCune was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 45th minute Aaron McPhedran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronan McCune saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Ellon getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Darius Robson hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the match, Aaron McPhedran notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Ellon's Ronan McCune. Ronan McCune was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Duncan Scotland to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Pure dead brilliant team getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Gary Caddell hit a great ball. After 65 played minutes Ellon got a freekick which was hit by Greig Tarrill. In the 66th minute, Duncan Scotland sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Ellon's Ronan McCune didn't even have to move. Simon McChoiter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick McLea in the 68th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Duncan Scotland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pure dead brilliant team's supporters rose to their feet, but Duncan Scotland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronan McCune breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Samuel McCaskill hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After 75 played minutes, Ellon's Darius Robson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Simon McChoiter came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ellon reached it. In the 87th minute, Aaron McPhedran made a precise shot to the right of Ronan McCune. Ellon's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Aaron McPhedran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Ronan McCune made a huge save. Tim Skinner made in the 96th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Pure dead brilliant team's Gary Caddell. Ronan McCune showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Max McIvor, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
