Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Nathan McLiver managed to get in a good position for a shot. Burnium FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nathan McLiver was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. James Elliott breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Burnium FC's Jack Tawesson got a free kick in the 6th minute. Golspie were furious when Donald McKail was red carded, 13 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 13 minutes into the game, one of Golspie:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 15th minute there was a penalty for Burnium FC. Richard Lammond stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving James Elliott. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nathan McLiver in the 20th minute of play forced Golspie's goalkeeper James Elliott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Golspie's goalkeeper James Elliott, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Michael Barns charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Michael Barns the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 28 played minutes Golspie got a freekick which was hit by Michael Barns. Nathan McLiver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. James Elliott tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Burnium FC's Fraser Duthie got control of the ball when Harold McPhater tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fraser Duthie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Graeme Elliott, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Graeme Elliott fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fraser Duthie having to interfere. Graeme Elliott struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Fraser Duthie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golspie. James Elliott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timothy McCorkill in the 44th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Terence Suttie got free with James Elliott in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. James Elliott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timothy McCorkill in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55thth minute of the game Nathan McLiver who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Golspie's James Elliott was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Harold McPhater scored 1-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fraser Duthie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Burnium FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Timothy McCorkill hit a great ball. Jack Tawesson kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Graeme Elliott got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Burnium FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Timothy McCorkill hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Burnium FC's Nathan McLiver slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of James Elliott. That made the score 1-2 after 77 minutes of play. Fraser Duthie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Harold McPhater's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. 85 minutes into the match, Golspie's goal looked a bit too open when Nathan McLiver came free, but James Elliott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th match minute, Burnium FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricky McCaig to maneuver through the defense. Burnium FC's Fraser Duthie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harold McPhater in the 87th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Burnium FC's Richard Lammond got a free kick in the 89th minute. Fraser Duthie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harold McPhater, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Golspie supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Burnium FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Burnium FC.
