Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Patrick McLea kicked off to start the match. Grant McBurie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nathan McLiver in the 6th minute of play forced Ellon's goalkeeper Ronan McCune to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 7 played minutes Burnium FC got a freekick which was hit by Terence Suttie. Patrick McLea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patrick McLea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fraser Duthie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Ellon's Grant McBurie got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frankie Malcolmson kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Ellon's Ronan McCune played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricky McCaig in the 17th minute of play. In the 19thth minute of the game Nathan McLiver who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ellon's Ronan McCune was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 20th minute Ricky McCaig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronan McCune saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronan McCune took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Terence Suttie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Ricky McCaig had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ronan McCune. Ellon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricky McCaig was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Burnium FC's goalkeeper Fraser Duthie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ricky McCaig took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronan McCune. Ronan McCune dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Ronan McCune showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timothy McCorkill, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 44th match minute, Burnium FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gus Balloch to maneuver through the defense. The Ellon players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Burnium FC were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nathan McLiver to make the kick off. Ronan McCune showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nathan McLiver, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 56th match minute, Burnium FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Terence Suttie to maneuver through the defense. Fraser Duthie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick McLea, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Timothy McCorkill got free with Ronan McCune in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Grant McBurie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fraser Duthie having to interfere. Fraser Duthie came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Ellon's Grant McBurie. But to his dismay, Grant McBurie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After having played for 69 minutes, Nathan McLiver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Burnium FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nathan McLiver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 72 played minutes Ellon got a freekick which was hit by Frankie Malcolmson. A collision led to Burnium FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Nathan McLiver hit a great ball. If Grant McBurie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grant McBurie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Fraser Duthie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 86 minutes of play, Burnium FC's Nathan McLiver made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ronan McCune was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricky McCaig during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ricky McCaig kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The Ellon supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Burnium FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Burnium FC.
