Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Wayne Pollard started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 4 minutes into the game, Wayne Pollard cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Owen Jones was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 8 minutes into the game, Inverness Warriors's Wayne Pollard nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Owen Jones made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 3-0 became the score in the 13th minute when Finlay Gifford elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 16 minutes into the game, Danny Carrigan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oban's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inverness Warriors the free kick. The supporters of Inverness Warriors booed when Oban was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danny Carrigan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Wayne Pollard ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Owen Jones was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Iain Lambie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Les Barnes, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Finlay Gifford's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Owen Jones read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Owen Jones made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Wayne Pollard sent off a good shot on target.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jack Purcell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Oban's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy Binnie came free, but Owen Jones reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Oban's George McSwen got a free kick in the 56th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Jack Purcell could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Iain Lambie however easily saved by the left post. 61 minutes into the match, Oban's goal looked a bit too open when Keith McNie came free, but Owen Jones reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Oban defense, Finlay Gifford kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Owen Jones. The Oban fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Owen Jones should have stopped the shot. In the 71st minute, Tommy Binnie left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inverness Warriors fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Finlay Gifford fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Owen Jones having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Finlay Gifford in the 80th minute of play forced Oban's goalkeeper Owen Jones to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oban's Owen Jones played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wayne Pollard in the 82nd minute of play. Wayne Pollard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Owen Jones tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inverness Warriors's Iain Lambie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Les Barnes in the 92nd minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Oban players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Inverness Warriors.
