Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Wayne Pollard took the kick off in the first half of the match. Timothy McCorkill could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Iain Lambie made a huge save. Fraser Duthie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wayne Pollard's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Finlay Gifford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Finlay Gifford managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inverness Warriors's supporters rose to their feet, but Finlay Gifford was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fraser Duthie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Nathan McLiver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Inverness Warriors's Iain Lambie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Inverness Warriors from getting a goal against them. Iain Lambie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nathan McLiver in the 41st minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 46 minutes into the game, when Jack Tawesson put in a rough tackle. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Burnium FC! In the 49th minute there was a penalty for Inverness Warriors. Finlay Gifford stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Fraser Duthie. 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
Iain Lambie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timothy McCorkill, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Fraser Duthie was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Finlay Gifford capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Finlay Gifford really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. In the 61st minute Terence Suttie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iain Lambie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute Finlay Gifford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fraser Duthie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fraser Duthie had great luck who in the 66thth minute grab hold of the ball when Tommy Binnie from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Ricky McCaig kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Iain Lambie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricky McCaig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Burnium FC's Ricky McCaig got a free kick in the 77th minute. A hard shot by Finlay Gifford from long distance, 78 minutes into the match, got Fraser Duthie's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The supporters of Burnium FC booed when Inverness Warriors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jay Duff didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inverness Warriors's Finlay Gifford got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Terence Suttie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, Wayne Pollard had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fraser Duthie. Burnium FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wayne Pollard was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Wayne Pollard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Fraser Duthie made a huge save. Finlay Gifford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Fraser Duthie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Burnium FC getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Terence Suttie hit a great ball. Nathan McLiver charged in rather forcefully in the 98th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nathan McLiver the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 98th minute, one of Burnium FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Burnium FC. The referee gave Inverness Warriors a penalty, 100 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Finlay Gifford, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Burnium FC's Fraser Duthie. 0-5. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Inverness Warriors had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
