Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Golspie's Ken Bowmaker started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ken Bowmaker in the 4th minute of play forced No Pants FC's goalkeeper Ron McGrath to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Graeme Elliott hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Golspie's James Elliott proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Golspie from getting a goal against them. James Elliott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel McElfrish in the 15th minute of play. James Elliott made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuel McElfrish in the 16th minute. Ron McGrath showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ken Bowmaker in the 20th minute of the match. In the 23rdth minute of the game Samuel McElfrish who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Golspie's James Elliott was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Golspie's zone, Nicholas Fish stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. James Elliott came out of the goal and Nicholas Fish tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicholas Fish could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but James Elliott made a huge save. With his leg James Elliott managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when No Pants FC's Samuel McElfrish fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Josh Hawes's late challenge caught a No Pants FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Josh Hawes helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Golspie getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Josh Hawes hit a great ball. With a little luck, Golspie's James Elliott got control of the ball when Samuel McElfrish tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 31 played minutes Golspie got a freekick which was hit by Harold McPhater. Michael Barns kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute Nicholas Fish suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Owen Murray's late challenge caught a No Pants FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Owen Murray helped the player get up and apologised. No Pants FC's Peter McCorkle was substituted for Nicholas Fish. Owen Murray hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. James Elliott was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Roddie Niven. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 54th minute Adrian McVanish clashed with another player. He fell to the ground and was in great pain. It was obvious that he couldn't finish the game. 55 minutes into the game, Adrian Coultard was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Golspie's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave No Pants FC the free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Samuel McElfrish in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg James Elliott saved Golspie from getting behind. A collision led to No Pants FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Sid McKinney hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the game, Samuel McElfrish was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. No Pants FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Golspie the free kick. Samuel McElfrish kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. When No Pants FC's Samuel McElfrish in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Golspie's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Golspie's Graeme Elliott got a free kick in the 66th minute. Harold McPhater who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Ron McGrath when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 76 minutes into the match, No Pants FC's goal looked a bit too open when Graeme Elliott came free, but Ron McGrath reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Ken Bowmaker reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ron McGrath. The goal made the score 1-1. Jimmy Storie's late challenge caught a Golspie's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jimmy Storie helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th minute, Jimmy Storie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes into the game, Samuel McElfrish cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. James Elliott was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No Pants FC's Ron McGrath proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save No Pants FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Graeme Elliott in the 87th minute of play forced No Pants FC's goalkeeper Ron McGrath to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. James Elliott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel McElfrish, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 89 minutes Golspie's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Roddie Niven who took care of the corner kick. Roddie Niven made a great header on No Pants FC's corner, it was just that Golspie's James Elliott managed to reach the ball for a save. 91 minutes into the match, Golspie's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel McElfrish came free, but James Elliott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No Pants FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Golspie for a fine match.
