Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gareth Cunningham started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Jo&Jo ™ booed when Dunnottar Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gareth Cunningham didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 3rd minute of the match Marc McBheath sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ricky Hewitt skillfully saved the ball. If Craig Duthie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute, Dunnottar Athletic's Ter McGillivour seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ter McGillivour the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Dunnottar Athletic protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ter McGillivour had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Dunnottar Athletic fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 12th minute. Penalty! Paddy McBain walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Ricky Hewitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Terry McAllan in the 20th minute of the match. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Dunnottar Athletic! In the 25th minute there was a penalty for Jo&Jo ™. Paddy McBain stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ricky Hewitt. 0-1. Andrew Combie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roddie McVicar in the 28th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robbie Abbot got free with Andrew Combie in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andrew Combie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steven Dunn in the 32nd minute of play. After 33 played minutes Dunnottar Athletic got a freekick which was hit by Samuel McGeachie. In the 42nd minute, Craig Duthie made a precise shot to the right of Ricky Hewitt. Dunnottar Athletic's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paddy McBain stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ricky Hewitt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paddy McBain in the 54th minute. Paddy McBain struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Ricky Hewitt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jo&Jo ™. Jo&Jo ™'s Paul Findlater was substituted for Marc McBheath. Jo&Jo ™'s Les Gillies got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricky Hewitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Terry McAllan in the 64th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Roddie McVicar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute Terry McAllan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricky Hewitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Jo&Jo ™ getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Munro McCorrie hit a great ball. Robbie Abbot's late challenge caught a Jo&Jo ™'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robbie Abbot helped the player get up and apologised. In the 72nd match minute, Dunnottar Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robbie Abbot to maneuver through the defense. Dunnottar Athletic's Larry Fair was substituted for Gareth Cunningham. Robbie Abbot hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. 75 minutes in the game Troy Abbie got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. In the 77th minute Les Gillies shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricky Hewitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Dunnottar Athletic getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Larry Fair hit a great ball. Craig Duthie who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Ricky Hewitt when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 85th minute, Roddie McVicar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jo&Jo ™ played a much better game than Dunnottar Athletic and deserved their victory. The Dunnottar Athletic players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
