In the 29thth minute of the game Steven Dunn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kirriemuir's Norman Alder was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 30th minute of the match, Gareth Cunningham got a very nice opportunity to score, but Norman Alder was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ricky Hewitt came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Kirriemuir's Jack Esson. But to his dismay, Jack Esson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 41 minutes into the match, Kirriemuir's goal looked a bit too open when Gareth Cunningham came free, but Norman Alder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Kirriemuir's goalkeeper Norman Alder had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gareth Cunningham. Norman Alder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roddie McVicar in the 78th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Dean Munro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
