Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ellon's Patrick McLea started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Andrew Combie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darius Robson, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Paddy McBain sped through Ellon's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ronan McCune. Jo&Jo ™'s Andrew Combie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Jo&Jo ™ from getting a goal against them. Ronan McCune showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Terry McAllan, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 26th minute, Terry McAllan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronan McCune was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. With a little luck, Jo&Jo ™'s Andrew Combie got control of the ball when Patrick McLea tried to sneak it across the goal line. With 31 minutes on the clock, Hamish McTier commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Jo&Jo ™ fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 31st minute. Penalty! Ronan McCune made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Terry McAllan in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paddy McBain in the 43rd minute of play forced Ellon's goalkeeper Ronan McCune to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Paddy McBain had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ronan McCune. Ellon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paddy McBain was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paddy McBain made a kick off. In the 58th minute Terry McAllan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronan McCune saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ellon's zone, Troy Abbie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronan McCune came out of the goal and Troy Abbie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jo&Jo ™ made a substitution. Paul Findlater replaced Marc McBheath. Rupert McIlwhom hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Ellon's Ronan McCune got control of the ball when Terry McAllan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ellon's Ronan McCune played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Terry McAllan in the 65th minute of play. Ronan McCune made an important save on a dangerous shot by Paddy McBain in the 68th minute. Nigel Bryce kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ellon's zone, Terry McAllan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronan McCune came out of the goal and Terry McAllan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ronan McCune took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Terry McAllan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ellon's Ronan McCune proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Ellon from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Terry McAllan in the 84th minute of play forced Ellon's goalkeeper Ronan McCune to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronan McCune was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Terry McAllan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Terry McAllan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. 94 minutes into the match, Jo&Jo ™'s goal looked a bit too open when Rupert McIlwhom came free, but Andrew Combie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Jo&Jo ™ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
