Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Stewart Tarrill made the kick off which started today's match. After 9 minutes, Hugh Crossley mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballygrant and the AC Holmavik players grew even worse after the yellow card. Hugh Crossley hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. If Stewart Tarrill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute Hugh Crossley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stevie Low saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sam McTaggart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roddie McSimon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luke McKellar in the 27th minute of the match. Stewart Tarrill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stevie Low having to interfere. Roddie McSimon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luke McKellar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute Norman Murphy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roddie McSimon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stevie Low was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Stewart Tarrill showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 37 minute of play. Stewart Tarrill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Stewart Tarrill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luke McKellar to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hugh Crossley in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stevie Low saved AC Holmavik from getting behind. Hugh Crossley struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Stevie Low didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballygrant. In the 60th match minute, AC Holmavik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norman Murphy to maneuver through the defense. Roddie McSimon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luke McKellar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roddie McSimon was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Luke McKellar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luke McKellar really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Stevie Low showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stewart Tarrill in the 70th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Stewart Tarrill managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballygrant's supporters rose to their feet, but Stewart Tarrill was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stevie Low breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ballygrant's Hugh Crossley got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stewart Tarrill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Stevie Low tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ballygrant's Gregor Downie got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute, Hugh Crossley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 89th match minute, Ballygrant was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Douglas McLiver to maneuver through the defense. AC Holmavik's Luke McKellar got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Stewart Tarrill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Ballygrant lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
