Seating: 2062, VIP seats: 179) Maccaulich FC's Norman McWalrick started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Edward Fostar hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. The supporters of St.Mirren booed when Maccaulich FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Fostar didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Conor McEarachar fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored St.Mirren's protests and gave Conor McEarachar a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Maccaulich FC booed when St.Mirren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Conor McEarachar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Maccaulich FC's Terence McAuslan seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Terence McAuslan the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Maccaulich FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Terence McAuslan had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 17 minutes into the game, one of Maccaulich FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 19th minute there was a penalty for St.Mirren. Stephen Barnfather stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sylvain Holemans. 1-0. After 22 played minutes Maccaulich FC got a freekick which was hit by Ben Munro. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matthew Wilkie got free with Sylvain Holemans in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tam Wilson kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 25 minutes into the game, Tam Wilson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Maccaulich FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave St.Mirren the free kick. Tam Wilson hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Matthew Wilkie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Sylvain Holemans made a huge save. St.Mirren's Edward Begg managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Edward Fostar in the 33 minute of the game. In the 34th minute Jordan McGilp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walter Wylie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Maccaulich FC's Jordan McGilp, in the 37th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Maccaulich FC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matthew Wilkie got free with Sylvain Holemans in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Matthew Wilkie made the kick off in the second half. Sylvain Holemans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matthew Wilkie in the 52nd minute of the match. Ben Munro kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Matthew Wilkie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sylvain Holemans was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. In the 60th minute Matthew Wilkie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sylvain Holemans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. St.Mirren's Walter Wylie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jordan McGilp in the 62nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matthew Wilkie in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sylvain Holemans saved Maccaulich FC from getting behind. With a little luck, St.Mirren's Walter Wylie got control of the ball when Jordan McGilp tried to sneak it across the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Maccaulich FC's goal looked a bit too open when Matthew Wilkie came free, but Sylvain Holemans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Maccaulich FC booed when St.Mirren was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Scott McMurdo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Maccaulich FC's Johnny Clyne slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Walter Wylie. That made the score 1-2 after 86 minutes of play. Norman Boyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th minute Matthew Wilkie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sylvain Holemans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
