Wally McKieson kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. If Darius Robison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. Grant McIlvora was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 22nd minute Rory Lombard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grant McIlvora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Athletic Hearts's Kieran Griffin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wágner Guedes in the 24th minute of play. Wally Colquhoun made in the 27th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Rory Lombard immediately put the ball in play. Grant McIlvora showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rory Lombard in the 28th minute of the match. Athletic Hearts's Romão Leão got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wally McKieson in the 39th minute of play forced Athletic Hearts's goalkeeper Kieran Griffin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Scotland's Ricky Lean ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kieran Griffin. Kieran Griffin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wágner Guedes in the 45th minute of play forced Athletic Hearts's goalkeeper Kieran Griffin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

54 minutes into the match, Athletic Hearts's goal looked a bit too open when Wally McKieson came free, but Kieran Griffin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kieran Griffin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wágner Guedes, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Duda Saldanha notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Athletic Hearts's Kieran Griffin. Kieran Griffin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 66 minutes into the match, Athletic Hearts's goal looked a bit too open when Wágner Guedes came free, but Kieran Griffin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Athletic Hearts getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Reece Paton hit a great ball. In the 69th minute of the match Phil Marnoch sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kieran Griffin skillfully saved the ball. In the 72nd minute, Ricky Lean ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kieran Griffin was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Kieran Griffin came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Scotland's Duda Saldanha. But to his dismay, Duda Saldanha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Grant McIlvora made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Rory Lombard sent off a good shot on target. In the 79th minute, Ricky Lean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Grant McIlvora showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Erdem Aras in the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute Ahmet Erdem Aras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grant McIlvora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Athletic Hearts's Rory Lombard to fire away a dangerous shot which Grant McIlvora despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Athletic Hearts's goal looked a bit too open when Wally McKieson came free, but Kieran Griffin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peter Colyear made in the 95th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Athletic Hearts's Romão Leão.
