Kieran Griffin was out of position in the 53 minute of play, and Derek Grewar capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Derek Grewar really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. In the 60th minute, Gary Gruer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Athletic Hearts's Kieran Griffin got control of the ball when Derek Grewar tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 71 played minutes Athletic Hearts got a freekick which was hit by Graham Peterkin. Maccaulich FC's Sylvain Holemans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Erdem Aras in the 74th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Maccaulich FC's zone, Ahmet Erdem Aras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sylvain Holemans came out of the goal and Ahmet Erdem Aras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 76 minutes into the match, Ahmet Erdem Aras had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sylvain Holemans. Maccaulich FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ahmet Erdem Aras was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 86th minute of the match, Derek Grewar got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kieran Griffin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a rather tough play, Athletic Hearts's Graham Peterkin got a free kick in the 87th minute. Timothy Lemond kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. 90 minutes in the game Malcolm Johnstone after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Kieran Griffin. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
