An unexpectedly hard shot by Gregor McKichan in the 43rd minute of play forced Scotland's goalkeeper Grant McIlvora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Stirling's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Duda Saldanha fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gregor McKichan to make the kick off. Ricky Lean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sean McEoin having to interfere. Quentin Meine kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Les Buntain took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Grant McIlvora to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Quentin Meine got free with Grant McIlvora in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Grant McIlvora was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Gareth Hawes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gareth Hawes really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Scotland's Craig Neil was substituted for Duda Saldanha. In the 85th match minute, Scotland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phil Marnoch to maneuver through the defense. Wágner Guedes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Scotland's Craig Neil got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Phil Marnoch hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. In the 98th minute, Les Buntain left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stirling fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Stirling had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
