Luke McKellar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute, Kevin Greusach got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. AC Holmavik's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Harry McFie scored to the left of an out of position Stevie Low, making the score, 2-0. 21 minutes into the match, AC Holmavik's goal looked a bit too open when Harry McFie came free, but Stevie Low reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Harry McFie was extremely unlucky when he, in the 28th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 29th minute, Harry McFie reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Stevie Low. The goal made the score 4-0. AC Holmavik's Stevie Low proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save AC Holmavik from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Davie McCaig in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stevie Low saved AC Holmavik from getting behind. Stevie Low showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harry McFie in the 36th minute of the match. A hard shot 40 in the game by Davie McCaig from a close distance when the talented Stevie Low managed to make a qualified save. AC Holmavik's players were relieved. Davie McCaig received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Stevie Low came out and tried to block the shot, but Davie McCaig slotted it home off the left post making it 5-0 in the 42nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Harry McFie in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stevie Low prevented the ball from getting in the gole. AC Holmavik's Stevie Low played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry McFie in the 48th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luke McKellar was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to ARBROATH FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Derek McMillan hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Harry McFie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stevie Low was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Harry McFie succeeded in the game's 57th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 6-0. In the 61st match minute, ARBROATH FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Borthwick to maneuver through the defense. Oliver Borthwick's late challenge caught a AC Holmavik's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oliver Borthwick helped the player get up and apologised. Oliver Borthwick kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Harry McFie left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ARBROATH FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. After a defensive mix-up in AC Holmavik's zone, Davie McCaig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stevie Low came out of the goal and Davie McCaig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stevie Low stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Harry McFie's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Harry McFie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stevie Low. AC Holmavik's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Harry McFie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. In the 86th minute, Davie McCaig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, AC Holmavik's goal looked a bit too open when Harry McFie came free, but Stevie Low reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ian McCabe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sam McTaggart in the 91st minute. When Harry McFie came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the ARBROATH FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harry McFie couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in AC Holmavik's zone, Davie McCaig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stevie Low came out of the goal and Davie McCaig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Davie McCaig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Harry McFie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Stevie Low tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There was no doubt that ARBROATH FC were the better team. ARBROATH FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
