Spectators: 9361 (Terracing: 7022, Seating: 2153, VIP seats: 186) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Harry McFie got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, ARBROATH FC's Harry McFie got a free kick in the 6th minute. When Duda Saldanha came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Scotland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duda Saldanha couldn't finish the play. In the 10th minute, Duda Saldanha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Scotland fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, ARBROATH FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wágner Guedes came free, but Ian McCabe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wágner Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 24th minute Harry McFie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grant McIlvora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grant McIlvora stood somewhat misplaced when Harry McFie came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 24 minute. Harry McFie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grant McIlvora having to interfere. If Wágner Guedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Davie McCaig might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Grant McIlvora. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Davie McCaig ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Davie McCaig got free with Grant McIlvora in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 47 played minutes ARBROATH FC got a freekick which was hit by Oliver Borthwick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wágner Guedes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Grant McIlvora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harry McFie in the 57th minute of play. The supporters of Scotland booed when ARBROATH FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oliver Borthwick didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 67 minutes, Kevin Greusach mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ARBROATH FC and the Scotland players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for ARBROATH FC! The goalkeeper, Ian McCabe, was totally fooled by Scotland's Phil Marnoch, who 68 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Ian McCabe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wágner Guedes in the 71st minute of the match. Duda Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian McCabe having to interfere. Scotland made a substitution. Craig Neil replaced Duda Saldanha. After a defensive mix-up in ARBROATH FC's zone, Craig Neil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ian McCabe came out of the goal and Craig Neil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute, Wágner Guedes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ian McCabe, passed just outside the right post. After 86 played minutes Scotland got a freekick which was hit by Phil Marnoch. Kevin Greusach, 87 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, ARBROATH FC's Oliver Borthwick got a free kick in the 89th minute. ARBROATH FC's Ian McCabe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save ARBROATH FC from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wágner Guedes in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ian McCabe saved ARBROATH FC from getting behind. When Kevin Greusach was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 98 minutes had been played. In the 98th minute, one of ARBROATH FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ARBROATH FC. Phil Marnoch placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out!
