In the 6th match minute, Lochgelly was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommy McPhorich to maneuver through the defense. After 7 played minutes Beith got a freekick which was hit by Anthony McPhun. If Martin Johnstone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tommy McPhorichs short, quick shot in the 11thth minute got Gus Appleton to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Lucas Carr kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After having played for 14 minutes, Dylan Blair managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beith's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dylan Blair was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 20th match minute, Lochgelly was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Colquhoun to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Tommy McPhorich managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lochgelly's supporters rose to their feet, but Tommy McPhorich was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gus Appleton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dylan Blair fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shaun Porter having to interfere. A collision led to Lochgelly getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Daniel Colquhoun hit a great ball. After 35 minutes, Martin Johnstone mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lochgelly and the Beith players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Beith booed when Lochgelly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Johnstone didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Lochgelly getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Blair McKeamish hit a great ball. Tommy McPhorich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gus Appleton having to interfere. After 43 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Beith!
Blair McKeamish kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Gus Appleton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Johnstone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the match, Beith's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Johnstone came free, but Gus Appleton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dylan Blair sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Martin Johnstone came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Lochgelly fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Johnstone couldn't finish the play. Shaun Porter made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Dylan Blair sent off a good shot on target. 68 minutes into the match, Tommy McPhorich notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Beith's Gus Appleton. Gus Appleton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Martin Johnstone's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gus Appleton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute, Lucas Carr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 86 minutes, Lucas Carr managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beith's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucas Carr was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Beith booed when Lochgelly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Colquhoun didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the game, Martin Johnstone cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Gus Appleton was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gus Appleton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tommy McPhorich went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lochgelly fans cheered their team off the field, for while Beith had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
