Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Greg McConochie kicked off to start the match. In the 12th minute, Martin Johnstone got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Highland Warriors's Greg McConochie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Shaun Porter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 22 played minutes Highland Warriors got a freekick which was hit by Alan Cunningham. Martin Johnstone sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Highland Warriors's Chris Mark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tommy McPhorich in the 26th minute of play. After 30 minutes of play, Lochgelly's Martin Johnstone made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chris Mark was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lochgelly's Tommy McPhorich got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 38 minutes into the game, Declan Gallie was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Highland Warriors's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lochgelly the free kick. After 38 played minutes Highland Warriors got a freekick which was hit by Declan Gallie. Chris Mark showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommy McPhorich in the 40th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Highland Warriors's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Johnstone came free, but Chris Mark reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, Highland Warriors's Greg McConochie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Shaun Porter narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chris Mark showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommy McPhorich, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tommy McPhorich made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Tommy McPhorich managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lochgelly's supporters rose to their feet, but Tommy McPhorich was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chris Mark breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Tommy McPhorich got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Highland Warriors's Declan Gallie got a free kick in the 67th minute. When Declan Gallie was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 69 minutes had been played. Declan Gallie hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. If Tommy McPhorich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chris Mark made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tommy McPhorich in the 73rd minute. Tommy McPhorich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chris Mark made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Tommy McPhorich sent off a good shot on target. Alan Cunningham hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Greg McConochie charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Greg McConochie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Highland Warriors getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Greg McConochie hit a great ball. When Tommy McPhorich came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Lochgelly fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tommy McPhorich couldn't finish the play. Tommy McPhorich's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 96thth minute, Chris Mark skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When the match was over Lochgelly could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Highland Warriors throughout the match.
