Perth's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Greenock the free kick. In the 10th minute, Fergus Abbie made a precise shot to the right of Tyler Graham. Perth's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. When Ian Moray came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Greenock fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ian Moray couldn't finish the play. After 15 minutes, Tom Burnes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Perth and the Greenock players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th match minute, Perth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tom Burnes to maneuver through the defense. Frank Allan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cameron Gilfillan in the 18th minute of the match. Simon Duffy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Allan having to interfere. A hard shot 32 in the game by Douglas Hutchinson from a close distance when the talented Tyler Graham managed to make a qualified save. Perth's players were relieved. Douglas Hutchinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Tyler Graham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Perth's Cameron Gilfillan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frank Allan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tyler Graham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Hutchinson, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute.
