Spectators: 9211 (Terracing: 6910, Seating: 2118, VIP seats: 183) Jaguar FC's Terence McAuselan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Greenock's Fergus Abbie got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Douglas Hutchinson got free with Joe Dempster in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Larry Forsyth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jaguar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Larry Forsyth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frank Allan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Douglas Hutchinson in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Joe Dempster, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Larry Forsyth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the match, Greenock's Fergus Abbie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joe Dempster narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 43rd minute of the match Edmond Douglas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frank Allan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Terence McAuselan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fergus Abbie to make the kick off. Joe Dempster made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fergus Abbie in the 51st minute of play. In the 54th minute, Hugh McTary hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fergus Abbie recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Jaguar FC's Samuel McKellaig got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute of the match Johnny Bateman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joe Dempster skillfully saved the ball. If Fergus Abbie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Frank Allan managed to avoid a goal in the 73rdth minute, when Jaguar FC's Larry Forsyth fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Logan McKellaigh during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Greenock's Logan McKellaigh got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 86th match minute, Greenock was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnny Bateman to maneuver through the defense. Larry Forsyth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frank Allan made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Larry Forsyth sent off a good shot on target. For all the effort they put into the match, the Jaguar FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Greenock.
