The Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels's Josh Abbot looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 21 minutes into the match, Josh Abbot had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Chris Mark. Chris Mark dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 29th minute, Alan Cunningham had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After 29 minutes, Eric Dis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels and the Highland Warriors players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th minute, Eric Dis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes into the game, Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels's Josh Abbot nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chris Mark made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josh Abbot in the 42nd minute of play forced Highland Warriors's goalkeeper Chris Mark to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Fraserburgh Wet Squirrels had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
