Aaron McIan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jay McKellar in the 6th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kenny Haws during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 10th match minute, Alva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kenny Haws to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute of the match Rupert Campbell shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aaron McIan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Muir United's Tommy McKaskill got a free kick in the 12th minute. When Wal McLairish fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alva's protests and gave Wal McLairish a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th match minute, Alva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wal McLairish to maneuver through the defense. Aaron McIan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommy McKaskill in the 20th minute of play. Nicky McEwan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenny Haws, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Muir United's goal looked a bit too open when Phil Dobbie came free, but Nicky McEwan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rupert Campbell received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aaron McIan came out and tried to block the shot, but Rupert Campbell slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jay McKellar in the 31st minute of play forced Alva's goalkeeper Aaron McIan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 32 played minutes Alva got a freekick which was hit by Marc Borthwick. Tommy McKaskill could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Aaron McIan made a huge save. In the 37th minute Tommy McKaskill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron McIan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute of the match, Rupert Campbell got a very nice opportunity to score, but Aaron McIan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rupert Campbell to strike the kick off in the second half. Muir United's Nicky McEwan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Muir United from getting a goal against them. Wal McLairish kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Alva's Aaron McIan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rupert Campbell in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Alva's goal looked a bit too open when Jay McKellar came free, but Aaron McIan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Alva defense, Jay McKellar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aaron McIan. The Alva fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aaron McIan should have stopped the shot. Aaron McIan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rupert Campbell, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kenny Haws got free with Nicky McEwan in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 69th minute Rupert Campbell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron McIan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Jay McKellar notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Alva's Aaron McIan. Aaron McIan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 75 minutes into the match, Alva's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy McKaskill came free, but Aaron McIan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Rupert Campbell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aaron McIan. Alva's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rupert Campbell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Kenny Haws managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alva's supporters rose to their feet, but Kenny Haws was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicky McEwan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 87 minutes into the match, Jay McKellar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aaron McIan. Alva's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jay McKellar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Rupert Campbell took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aaron McIan. Aaron McIan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Muir United's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
