The supporters of Lochgelly booed when Perth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mike McNiven didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tommy McPhorich came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tyler Graham could save by the left post. Tom Burnes hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Lochgelly's Tommy McPhorich got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute, Martin Johnstone ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tyler Graham was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Lochgelly fully deserved thier win.
