After 16 minutes of play, Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's Ömür Seyfeddin made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Edgar Scislowicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Kon in the 38th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Roman Kon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Roman Kon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Kon, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roman Kon was the one to do the kick off. 7-0 became the score in the 53rd minute when Edgar Scislowicz elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Zagłębie Dąbrowskie's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
