Aveleda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Super Bock CP the free kick. Super Bock CP's Sebastião Castanheira was substituted for Jarbas Bentes. Paulo Assis hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Tomás Carneiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adérito Lisboa in the 17th minute of the match. Tomás Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adérito Lisboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Super Bock CP's Adérito Lisboa in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 39th minute, David Caires ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomás Carneiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Caires got free with Tomás Carneiro in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Super Bock CP's Alexandre Madeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesário Proença in the 48th minute of play.

The wind increased when Adérito Lisboa made the kick off in the second half. Tomás Carneiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adérito Lisboa's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Paulo Pedroso could shoot a difficult shot in the 57th minute, which Alexandre Madeira however easily saved by the left post. David Caires charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Caires the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Super Bock CP getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. David Caires hit a great ball. Marian Huratiak hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Vasco Monteiro's late challenge caught a Super Bock CP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vasco Monteiro helped the player get up and apologised. After 65 played minutes Aveleda got a freekick which was hit by Vasco Monteiro. Horácio Domingos hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Adérito Lisboa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tomás Carneiro was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Paulo Pedroso's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Alexandre Madeira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
