In the 11th minute Nuno Soeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliveira Santarém saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to SC Passal getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Isaac Aires hit a great ball. Fábio Santarém made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rui Bessa in the 17th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Rui Bessa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fábio Santarém. That made the score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. In the 21st minute, Nuno Soeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, SC Meinedo's Severiano Brandão got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Joaquim Festas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Oliveira Santarém tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Isaac Aires could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Fábio Santarém however easily saved by the left post. Álvaro Brás sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rui Bessa kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 35thth minute. Though ot was a great shot SC Meinedo's keeper Fábio Santarém was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joaquim Festas to make the kick off. Nuno Soeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Oliveira Santarém tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Nuno Soeiro came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the SC Meinedo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Soeiro couldn't finish the play. 60 minutes into the match, SC Passal's goalkeeper Oliveira Santarém had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nuno Soeiro. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Joaquim Festas managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Meinedo's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Festas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oliveira Santarém breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Plácido Pegado hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. When Felipe Ezkerra fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Passal's protests and gave Felipe Ezkerra a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of SC Passal:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Meinedo:s goal. The referee gave SC Meinedo a penalty, 71 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Severiano Brandão, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Passal's Oliveira Santarém. 2-1. 74 minutes into the game, Máximo Candal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Oliveira Santarém. Máximo Candal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Álvaro Brás struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Fábio Santarém didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Passal. Luís Jesus charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luís Jesus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SC Meinedo booed when SC Passal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Jesus didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute, Joaquim Festas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
