Gaspar Vale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albertino Anjos in the 15th minute. After some careless play in the Matoscheirinhos sporting defense, Lúcio Queirós kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gaspar Cruz. The Matoscheirinhos sporting fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaspar Cruz should have stopped the shot. 23 minutes into the game, one of Matoscheirinhos sporting:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gaspar Cruz came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Fernandaires's Joel Leal. But to his dismay, Joel Leal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. When Joel Leal came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the SC Fernandaires fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Leal couldn't finish the play. Matoscheirinhos sporting's Gaspar Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Cunha in the 33rd minute of play. Albertino Anjos struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Gaspar Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matoscheirinhos sporting. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Antunes in the 41st minute of play forced SC Fernandaires's goalkeeper Gaspar Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Albertino Anjos came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Matoscheirinhos sporting fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albertino Anjos couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lúcio Queirós made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in SC Fernandaires's zone, Albertino Anjos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gaspar Vale came out of the goal and Albertino Anjos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rui Antunes succeeded in the game's 56th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-3. If Rui Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaspar Vale stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rui Antunes's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. In the 65th minute Lúcio Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Matoscheirinhos sporting getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Sandro Machado hit a great ball. Jorge Matias kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Albertino Anjos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Gaspar Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaspar Cruz made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Joel Leal sent off a good shot on target. After 85 minutes of play, Matoscheirinhos sporting's Albertino Anjos made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gaspar Vale was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 90th minute of the match Thobias Denturck sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gaspar Vale skillfully saved the ball. If Albertino Anjos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the match, Matoscheirinhos sporting's goalkeeper Gaspar Cruz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Cunha. SC Fernandaires were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
