Gentil Castanheira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Silvestre Ponte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, Cilarcas FC's goalkeeper Aprígio Moita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Silvestre Ponte. Silvestre Ponte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Aprígio Moita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Cilarcas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Germano Sacadura came free, but Aprígio Moita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute of the match, Germano Sacadura tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Aprígio Moita saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 33rd minute, Silvestre Ponte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 38 played minutes Cilarcas FC got a freekick which was hit by Cassiano Portela. 46 minutes into the game, Germano Sacadura recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aprígio Moita. Germano Sacadura showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Germano Sacadura was the one to do the kick off. Gentil Castanheira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Altino Sesimbra, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tua FC's zone, Cassiano Portela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gentil Castanheira came out of the goal and Cassiano Portela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cilarcas FC's Aprígio Moita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvestre Ponte in the 66th minute of play. If Silvestre Ponte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, Cilarcas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Germano Sacadura came free, but Aprígio Moita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Germano Sacadura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aprígio Moita having to interfere. With a little luck, Tua FC's Gentil Castanheira got control of the ball when Cassiano Portela tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Alexandre Rodrigues fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tua FC's protests and gave Alexandre Rodrigues a yellow card for diving instead. Aprígio Moita came out of the goal and Silvestre Ponte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 96th minute, Cassiano Portela got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Cilarcas FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Tua FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
