Spectators: 6667 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Duarte Reis took the kick off in the first half of the match. Virgílio Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Cavadas booed when Ribeiros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusébio Faro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 21 minutes, Francisco Ventura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cavadas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Ventura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25th minute, Francisco Ventura left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cavadas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 30th minute Duarte Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Lencastre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Eusébio Faro fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ribeiros FC's protests and gave Eusébio Faro a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ribeiros FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Eusébio Faro hit a great ball. In the 34th minute, Virgílio Pires left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cavadas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Tiago Macedo charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tiago Macedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 40 played minutes Ribeiros FC got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Macedo. After a rather tough play, Cavadas's Teófilo Sobral got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Duarte Reis might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexandre Lencastre. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Duarte Reis ran back to his position shaking his head. The Ribeiros FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cavadas were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Virgílio Pires stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Cavadas got a freekick which was hit by Hélio Reis. Francisco Ventura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Francisco Ventura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Cavadas's goal looked a bit too open when Duarte Reis came free, but Alexandre Lencastre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Heitor Silva came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Cavadas's Francisco Ventura. But to his dismay, Francisco Ventura quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After 77 played minutes Ribeiros FC got a freekick which was hit by Lourenço Viegas. In the 79th minute, one of Ribeiros FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ribeiros FC. In the 80th minute there was a penalty for Cavadas. Januário Oliveira stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Heitor Silva. 1-4. Adelino Miranda struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Alexandre Lencastre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ribeiros FC. Heitor Silva stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Virgílio Pires's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Alexandre Lencastre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelino Miranda in the 95th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Cavadas left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ribeiros FC.
